Professional Counseling for Career and Life Transitions

About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California (#42530). I have been working with individuals and couples in therapy since 1998, when I began volunteering at the Contra Costa Crisis Center (where I continue to volunteer as a grief counselor and mental health screener).  Since then, I have also worked for Touchstone Counseling Services in Pleasant Hill and North County Mental Health Clinic (County of Santa Clara) in Palo Alto. I am currently in private practice in San Ramon, California..

I grew up in El Paso, Texas, and received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University
in Portales, NM.  In addition to living in several places in Texas, I lived in Roswell, NM, Anchorage, AK, St. Louis, MO and Seattle, WA before moving to California.  I worked over 20 years in several corporate, nonprofit and government settings prior to becoming a licensed therapist.   I received my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at City University of Seattle.  In addition, I have completed extensive training with the Contra Costa Crisis Center and received a certificate in both Crisis Counseling and Grief Counseling.

I am a clinical member of the
American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists,
