I am dually licensed in the State of California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT42530) and as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC542). I am also licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (202178) and as a Licensed Professional Counselor (77039). I am a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH 1090). I have been providing therapy since 1998, when I began volunteering at a crisis center in California. Since then, I have also worked for a nonprofit counseling service, a county mental health clinic, and was in private practice in San Ramon, California for 7 years. I was also in practice for 7 years in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas.
I have recently moved back to California, to Dana Point, where I am loving the view I have of the Pacific Ocean. I grew up in El Paso, Texas, attended UTEP for three years before relocating to Roswell, NM and received my bachelor of science degree in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM. In addition, I have lived in Anchorage, AK, St. Louis, MO, Seattle, WA, San Ramon, CA, Fair Oaks Ranch, TX before moving back to California.
I worked over 20 years in several corporate, nonprofit and government settings prior to becoming a licensed therapist. I received my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at City University of Seattle. In addition, I have completed extensive training and received certification in both Crisis Counseling and Grief Counseling, and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals. I am also a trained EMDR therapist.
