As a BC-TMH (Board Certified-TeleMental Health) provider, I offer phone or online video counseling through my HIPAA compliant practice management system. This system only requires that you register as a client (go to the Register or Log-in page to register) and that you have a smartphone, tablet or computer for online video counseling.
The Board Certified-TeleMental Health credential identifies those professional counselors who are uniquely trained in best practices for delivering traditional counseling through technological means. BC-TMHs have met nationally established distance counseling criteria and adhere to the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Code of Ethics and Policy Regarding the Provision of Distance Professional Services.
Please be aware that if you choose online counseling that technology does have its limits and that there is a possibility that we will become disconnected during a session or that there is some other kind of glitch in the transmission. Should either of these occur, please log out and log back in to see if we can reconnect. I will do the same. If we are unable to reconnect, I will call you at the number I have for you in order to finish and/or reschedule the session. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but wanted you to be aware of the recovery steps should there be a disconnection. Please pay the copay or fee via Zelle prior to your online session. |
